The first season follows Alina Starkov, a young orphan who discovers her Grisha powers and enrolls in the prestigious Grisha Academy. There, she meets a group of powerful Grishas, including Mal (played by Ian Ousley), Kaz (played by Donovan Philips Leitch), and Matthias (played by Nathan Jurgenson). Together, they embark on a perilous journey to save the Grishaverse from the evil forces of the Shadow.
