Epson APD + OPOS service running as a dedicated service.

: If you are using a USB connection but your software requires a COM (Serial) port, you must install the TM Virtual Port Driver to bridge the gap. Utility Bonus EpsonNet Config

Note: The TM-U220D is not officially supported on modern macOS for POS applications. Apple has deprecated OPOS. If you must use a Mac, you will need a virtual machine running Windows or middleware like PowerPOS.
