VueScan by Hamrick Software is the gold standard for legacy scanners. It contains a built-in driver for the UMAX Astra 3600 that works perfectly on Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit).
Right-click it and select > Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer . Select Imaging devices from the list.
LaserSoft Imaging offers SilverFast Ai Studio for certain UMAX models. Check their archive for Astra 3600 support. It’s more expensive but offers superior color management.
