Pepakura Designer has been around for nearly two decades. Early versions (2.x and 3.x) were rudimentary, supporting only low-poly .6KT and .OBJ files. Version 4 introduced texture mapping and PDF export. Version 5 added better UV mapping controls.
Instead of paper, use 5mm EVA foam.
